About this file
This is a Technical Specifications Attachment for a supply contract issued by Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve (National Park Service, Region 11 Alaska) to procure loader attachments for multi-season snow and materials handling operations.
The National Park Service seeks to outfit one Volvo L110H wheel loader with four specific attachments, all of which must be new, fully warranted, and delivered FOB to Glacier Bay National Park in Gustavus, Alaska by September 30, 2026. The required attachments include: (1) a hydraulic folding V-plow measuring 13 to 14 feet in length with reverse-V folding capability, heavy-duty structural steel moldboard construction (minimum 3/16" thickness), working trip edge, and vertical float slot linkage allowing operation as a vee plow, inverted vee plow, straight blade, or angled blade; (2) a hydraulically adjustable pallet fork with tines measuring 3 by 6 by 60 inches and minimum lifting capacity of 22,800 pounds, featuring lateral tine movement and operator-controlled positioning; (3) a material handling arm with manually adjustable length, minimum horizontal reach of 87 inches with 9,300-pound capacity and maximum reach of 137.5 inches with 4,600-pound capacity, rated for 29,000 pounds at the closest attachment point; and (4) a coupling adapter providing mechanical interface between Volvo coupler systems (L40 through L120) and CAT IT-style lugging (IT24F pattern) attachments. All attachments must be compatible with the Volvo L110H without base machine modification and designed for third hydraulic valve or auxiliary hydraulic circuit operation. Warranty periods are five years for the hydraulic vee plow, three years for pallet forks and material handling arm, and one year for the coupling adapter. One owner's manual must be provided for each attachment. The point of contact is Daniel Sprague at (907) 697-2698, with delivery required Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
