About this file

This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for Lassen Volcanic National Park, Solicitation #140P8425Q0027, seeking the supply and delivery of a pre-engineered three-stringer glulam bridge package. The specific requirements include a 36-foot long by 5-foot wide bridge designed to support a 600-pound per square foot snow load, to be delivered to the park's Mineral Headquarters in California. The bridge will replace a previously failed Channel Iron steel bridge damaged during the 2021 Dixie Fire and will be used to restore visitor access to the Devils Kitchen Geothermal Area.

Key specifications mandate that the bridge must be untreated due to the area's wilderness designation, with NPS procuring all additional hardware, decking, and handrailing. Delivery is restricted to Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding holidays. The National Park Service will provide a forklift and operator for offloading. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code of 321999, targeting businesses with 500 or fewer employees.
