Text version
Gravel Requirements:
3/4" minus or 1" minus road base (AKA: base course) gravel.
Gravel must be locally sourced from a quarry within 50-mile radius of park boundary in order to maintain geological composition and appearance consistent with current park road surfaces.
Gravel Quantity: 1,750 Tons.
The Government reserves the right to purchase additional gravel up to 500 tons at time of award.
Park will require gravel to be delivered using end-dump trucks and end-dump pup trailers. Gravel is expected to be dump/spread during delivery. Park equipment operators will determine location of each delivery as required for project completion. Delivery will be on a 3.7-mile section of Red Valley Road (AKA: CSP6 or NPS6). Refer to map. Delivery will begin at the intersection of NPS 5 and NPS 6 and move north to the park boundary fence. In addition to delivery on the road, a section of approximately 400 yards will require gravel during this project. Delivery to this location will require end-dump trucks without pups due to reversing into or out of the location to limit tire impact on prairie.
Delivery: August 26, 2024 to November 15, 2024.
