Method of Surveillance
PRS # 1
The Contractor shall perform testing of bodily fluids (whichever specimens have been approved by HHS for testing) for the presence of at least the 5-drug panel or the current HHS approved panel as related to SOW section 2.1.
The Contractor performs the required testing in accordance with HHS and DOI guidelines.
The Contractor performs HHS panel testing with no more than 1 significant error
Monthly review of test results for verification of correct panel
PRS # 2
The laboratory shall report negative test results to DOI’s Medical Review Officer (MRO) within 24 hours after receipt of the specimen by the laboratory as related to section 2.2
The Contractor performs the required testing in accordance with HHS and DOI guidelines.
The Contractor provides negative test results to the Medical Review Officer within 24 hours and not more than 48 hours after obtaining results.
Monthly review of test results average time to be sent the Medical Review Officer
PRS # 3
Specimens confirmed positive shall be reported positive for a specific drug and reported to the Medical Review Officer within an average of 48-72 hours after receipt of specimen as related to section 2.2
The Contractor performs the required testing in accordance with HHS and DOI guidelines.
The Contractor reports all positive tests for a specific drug to the Medical Review Officer within an average of 48-72 hours after receipt of specimen
Review monthly of test results average time to be sent the Medical Review Officer
PRS # 4
Litigation packages shall be provided within 30 business days from the date of request by the Federal agency or specified in each individual task order as related to section 3.8
Litigation package information includes a laboratory summary report; affidavit; custody and control documents; screening and confirmation test printouts; laboratory certifying documents; certifying scientist and technical staff qualifications.
The litigation package is accurate and does not contain technical or grammatical errors.
Quarterly review of response to litigation responses
PRS # 5
The Contractor shall prepare and ship aliquot and split specimens to a second certified laboratory, as required as related to section 3.9.
The Contractor prepares and ships split specimens to a second certified laboratory in accordance with Section 2.4.
Zero deviation from the performance standard.
The COR perform a quarterly review of the Contractor’s actions taken on splits sent to a second lab
