About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source from the U.S. Department of the Interior, Joint Administrative Operations, on behalf of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The agency intends to award a sole-source purchase order to the Museum of the Aleutians in Dutch Harbor, Alaska for archaeological collection management services. The scope of work includes review, stabilization, cataloging, archival rehousing, digitization, database entry, and permanent curation of archaeological collections from the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge.
The sole-source justification is based on the Museum of the Aleutians being the only known repository that meets 36 CFR part 79 standards and accepts permanent curation of archaeological collections originating from the Aleutian Islands. No qualification requirements apply, and all responsible sources may submit responses by 1:00 p.m. Central Time on August 9, 2026. Responses should be submitted to Tanner Frank, Contracting Officer, at Tanner_Frank@ios.doi.gov.
