Q1: Does the client require information about cargo and the weight of the cargo and shipping containers on the vessel?
A1: Is it required, no but such information is useful if it is made available or offered.
Q2: Would port to port and information about ships from a specific port benefit the client?
A2: It is not required for the vessel register but the information would be of measurable benefit.
Q3: Would the consignee, shipper, or notify parties connected to a vessel IMO benefit the client?
A3: Not required but the information would be of measurable benefit.
Q4: Would real time AIS shipping data with vessel name and position data combined with corporate data assist the US Army Corps of Engineers and this solicitation?
A4: Not required but the information would be of measurable benefit.
Q5: If a provider cannot provide one of the requested fields, will they be disqualified? A number of the requested fields have nominal value.
A5: Disqualification will not be automatic. Some are of nominal value individually but collectively they may help USACE form a more complete vessel specification profile. In this context it also matters what the availability or data fill is for the other fields as well.
