Statement of Work

USGS/Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory

Target Rd 10002 Isleta SE

Kirtland AFB, NM 87117

ASL Operations Background:

The USGS, at the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory (ASL), operates and maintains the

Global Seismic Network (GSN). The ASL does both research and operations in earthquake monitoring, this includes receiving data from stations around the world. Data analyzed by scientists at ASL are used to help mitigate loss of life and property. The ASL facilities are in the foothills of the Isleta Pueblo approximately 14 miles from the Truman gate of Kirtland Air Force

Base.

Overall project scope: The USGS Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory requires the addition of three new ADA entrance locations at its facility located at Target Rd 10002 Isleta SE Kirtland

Air Force Base. This requirement will be for three single automatic door openers with touchless buttons located at a designated location inside and outside of each door to be fitted. The (ADA)

Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 is designed to help people with disabilities access the same employment opportunities and benefits available to people without disabilities. The addition of the work stated below will move ASL into compliance on all main office buildings.

1. Scope of Work, building 10001: 36” door. (see figure 10001)

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and professional guidance required to perform the work explained in this work statement for statements 1, 2, and 3. Contractors must be able to provide personnel that can successfully pass background checks to obtain KAFB passes which are required by base command to gain access. The contractor will be responsible for determining which specification and subsection of State and Federal regulations are relevant to this work and incorporate best practices while developing quality control plans and work schedules.

1.1 Install LCN 9542 auto operator single door push side “right hand” or comparable equivalent opener.

1.2 Each auto operator will have on, off and hold open manual switches with adjustable time delays.

1.3 Install Next Gen IR wireless touchless switches, or equivalent, on both inside and outside locations. Locations will be determined by the COR or Technical

Representative before installation begins.

1.4 Electric power for operators shall be supplied from sub panel located in the main shop area. Run power in ridged conduit from sub panel to ceiling, through ceiling

(approximately 45 ft), then to the operators.

1.5 Electrical connections from the power source to the operator unit will be 120V AC completed by the contractor.

2. Scope of Work, building 10003: 36” door. (see figure 10003)

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and professional guidance required to perform the work explained in this work statement for statements 1, 2, and 3. Contractors must be able to provide personnel that can successfully pass background checks to obtain KAFB passes which are required by base command to gain access. The contractor will be responsible for determining which specification and subsection of State and Federal regulations are relevant to this work and incorporate best practices while developing quality control plans and work schedules.

2.1 Install LCN 9542 auto operator single door push side “right hand” or comparable equivalent opener.

2.2 Each auto operator will have on, off and hold open manual switches with adjustable time delays.

2.3 Install Next Gen IR wireless touchless switches, or equivalent, on both inside and outside locations. Locations will be determined by the COR or Technical

Representative before installation begins.

2.4 Electric power for operators shall be supplied from sub panel located approximately 4 feet to the right of door in main area. Run power in ridged conduit from sub panel to ceiling then to the operators.

2.5 Electrical connections from the power source to the operator unit will be 120V AC

3. Scope of Work, building 10010: 36” door. (see figure 10010)

Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and professional guidance required to perform the work explained in this work statement.

Contractors must be able to provide personnel that can successfully pass background checks to obtain KAFB passes which are required by base command to gain access.

The contractor will be responsible for determining which specification and subsection of State and Federal regulations are relevant to this work and incorporate best practices while developing quality control plans and work schedules.

3.1 Install LCN 9542 auto operator single door push side “left hand” or comparable equivalent opener.

3.2 Each auto operator will have on, off and hold open manual switches with adjustable time delays.

3.3 Install Next Gen IR wireless touchless switches, or equivalent, on both inside and outside locations. Locations will be determined by the COR or Technical

Representative before installation begins.

3.4 Electric power for operators shall be supplied from sub panel located approximately 8 feet to the right of the door in main field engineer area. Run power in ridged conduit from sub panel to ceiling then to the operators.

3.5 Electrical connections from the power source to the operator unit will be 120V AC

4. Quality Assurance: All quality control measures will be the sole responsibility of the

Contractor. The contractor is responsible for complying to all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations while performing work required for this contract. The contractor is responsible for producing a quality control plan on each facet of this contract and supplying a copy to the CO and COR or designated Technical

Representative for approval before work will begin.

4.1 In any case of discrepancy in specifications, the matter will be brought to the attention of the CO in writing.

4.2 All materials and workmanship are subject inspections by the COR or designated

Technical Representative. All work that is found unsatisfactory shall be promptly corrected by the contractor.

4.3 The work area will be kept clean of any hazards to USGS and contractor employees throughout working hours.

5. Final inspections: Final inspections will be scheduled upon completion of all work and a final cleanup of the work site is conducted by the contractor and inspected to the satisfaction of the COR.
