SOW MCAAP Vacuum Chamber 2 June 2022

Statement of Work for MPLF Vacuum Chamber Tube

Scope

The following document provides the general requirements and design specifications for each vacuum chamber tube. Reference MCAAP Drawing SK1477. Quantity: 8

General Requirements

A. Must achieve and hold 28.5 in/HG of vacuum for 10 minutes when welded and assembled.

B. 58.13" inside minimum diameter.

C. 194.5" inside overall length without lid (chamber).

D. Lid must attach to vacuum tube using stainless steel 300 series swing bolts, handles and lifting eyelets (chamber lid). Swing bolts shall be adequate to maintain vacuum.

E. Aluminum construction on tube & lid.

F. 3/8" minimum material thickness on all components unless otherwise specified on drawing.

G. Lifting eyelets (qty. 6, equally spaced) around vacuum tube opening 48” down to support weight of vacuum tube.

H. (Qty. 6 equally spaced) 4"' x 4" x ½" thick tab welded around tube opening.

I. Build a polycarbonate fill plate to fit in the 24" diameter hole. 1/4" Viton O‐ring seals (fill plate).

J. Preliminary approval/technical drawings are required for approval prior to award. Build drawings to be submitted for approval within 4 weeks of award, including pressure summary, thickness summary, weight summary & vacuum summary (required).

K. Vacuum lid to meet diameters and heights specified on drawing, material thickness is determined by designer.

L. 40,000 lbs. will be applied to the bottom of vacuum chamber, MCAAP will supply the support structure underneath the tube.

M. Manufacture one fill plate per tube.

N. The contractor shall furnish under this purchase description two (2) sets of operational, maintenance, and parts manuals as necessitated by the equipment. The manuals shall be specific (not canned statements about the system in general) to the system supplied. There shall be a brief description concerning the purpose of the specific equipment supplied and the rated operating capacities. The manuals shall contain a complete parts list to include (at minimum) all information necessary (manufacturer's name, address, phone number, P/N, S/N, size, model number, type, etc.) to re‐order the part if necessary. The manuals shall include all preventative maintenance procedures/schedules specific the equipment supplied. These manuals shall be applicable to the equipment provided only and shall include all safety precautions/warnings associated with the operation. All manuals shall be authorized for reproduction and distribution to end users of the equipment. One set of hard copy versions of the manuals shall be provided with the equipment. One (1) set of the manuals shall be electronic in form (on cd) and must be capable of being read in either a “.pdf'" or a "'.doc" format.

O. 30%,60%,90% design/progress review required. JMMC‐OMP will validate and verify equipment before award is granted.

P. Contractor will be responsible for all transport and delivery to MCAAP in McAlester, OK.
