About this file
This document is a detailed set of construction specifications for the Cottonwood Campground Water System Upgrade and Campsite Improvements project for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management's California Desert District. The project is located in McCain Valley, approximately 15 miles north of Boulevard, California, and involves comprehensive infrastructure upgrades including water system improvements, campsite enhancements, and associated utility work.
The specifications cover multiple technical divisions including site clearing, earthwork, concrete paving, utilities, water transmission, and site accessories. Key components include installing new water mains, water hydrants, booster pumps, potable water storage tanks (1,500-gallon capacity), ADA-accessible picnic tables and fire rings, and related electrical and mechanical systems. The project requires precise installation of underground piping with specific depth and joint requirements, grounding and electrical components, and adherence to potable water system standards. The construction documents are dated May 29, 2020, and provide comprehensive technical guidance for contractors bidding on and executing the campground infrastructure improvements.
