About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for an XY Automated Sampler system (Reference S26012). The specification details requirements for one automated sampler unit and one sampling plate to be delivered.

The XY Automated Sampler must be an XY automated sampling system employing Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) analytical techniques capable of analyzing multiple samples with both diffuse reflection and transmission sampling modes. The system shall accept standard 24-, 48-, or 96-well microplates and support custom mapping profiles with automated data collection. Technical specifications include gold-coated optics with an integrated Deuterated Triglycine Sulfate (DGTS) detector, elliptical optics with 3X beam demagnification at a 30° angle of incidence, and precision standards of ±5 µm repeatability, ±25 µm accuracy, and 1 µm resolution or better. The unit shall include USB connectivity, operate on 100–240 VAC 50/60 Hz power, feature a fully enclosed housing with purgeable optical path and front-loading tray, weigh no more than 10 lbs (4.5 kg), and measure no larger than 6.5" W x 13.5" D x 6" H (including micrometer). The sampler shall include in-compartment mounting compatibility with most FTIR spectrometers, standard purge tubes with connections, and all necessary accessories and software for setup, operation, and data collection. The accompanying sampling plate shall be a 24-well diffuse reflection plate designed for disposable cups and compatible with the sampler unit.
