About this file
This Salient Characteristics document details specifications for a Digital Borehole Camera System consisting of three main components: a Digital Borehole Camera, a Camera Control Unit, and a Camera Centralizer Kit. The digital downhole camera is designed for geophysical well inspections and must interface with Mount Sopris Instruments single conductor or Century Geophysics 4-conductor wireline winch systems. Key camera specifications include the ability to produce digital video and pictures with 1280 x 960 resolution, record front-facing and 360-degree side video simultaneously, operate at depths up to 6,000 ft, and function in temperatures ranging from 0 to 70°C.
The Camera Control Unit serves as a data acquisition and communication bridge, featuring WiFi and Ethernet capabilities, HDMI and USB interfaces, and the ability to display real-time video on cell phones, tablets, and laptops. It is powered by a 120-volt source and can interface with compatible winch/encoder systems. The Centralizer Kit includes hardware components for centering the camera in a borehole, such as centering rods, ring collars, fasteners, electrical tape, and installation tools. The system is to be delivered with all necessary accessories, including power and control cables, and a transportation case capable of housing the camera, control unit, centralizer kit, and related equipment.
