About this file

The document is a Salient Characteristics file for a Remote Control System for Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) for the Teledyne RD Instruments RiverRay/RiverPro ADCP. The requirement is for 3 remote control system kits that convert ADCP flotation devices into unmanned surface vehicle (USV) systems with specific technical specifications. Key requirements include a kit with two propulsion thrusters, communication/power module, hand-held remote control with display and joystick, 2.4 GHz transmitter with 300 ft communication range, and rechargeable batteries providing 1.5 hours of continuous operation at cruising speed. The system must operate at a maximum speed of 9.5 ft/sec and cruise speed of 4.5 ft/sec, require no special tools for assembly, and include ruggedized transport cases.
