About this file

The document provided is the Salient Characteristics for a Remote Surface Vehicle System for Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs). It details the requirements for a portable, floating platform with a propulsion system capable of being equipped with an ADCP to perform discharge measurements. The key requirements include the system being battery-powered with a runtime of 4-6 hours, one-person deployable, remotely or autonomously driven, constructed of marine-grade components, and capable of operating over a temperature range of -10 to 40°C. The associated federal contract opportunity is for the procurement of 4 such systems to be delivered to the USGS Louisiana Water Science Center within 30 days of order. The Request for Quote will be issued on or about 11/20/2024 with quotes due by 11/26/2025. This is a total small business set-aside acquisition with a NAICS code of 334513 and a size standard of 750 employees. The anticipated award date is 12/15/2024.
