About this file

This document outlines salient characteristics for refrigerated portable water samplers and accessories required under Solicitation Number 140G0123Q0268 by the Department of the Interior US Geological Survey Office of Acquisitions and Grants. The salient characteristics specify requirements for three wastewater samplers including pump capabilities, materials, power sources, bottle compatibility, and interfaces. Additional requirements are provided for the pump including lifting capability, liquid detection, tubing specifications, repeatability, velocity, and tubing life. The controller must include a user interface, memory, temperature range, and be SDI-12 compatible. The sampler must have storage for five sampling programs, allow sample frequencies from one minute to 99 hours and 59 minutes, support automatic rinsing, and be capable of running diagnostics tests. Bottles must be compatible with the sampler and consist of fourteen 950-ml polyethylene bottles with caps, distributor arm, discharge tubes, bottle carrier, and adapter.
