About this file

This is a Snowmobile Technical Specification Requirements document that outlines mandatory equipment specifications for the procurement of two 2027-2028 Ski-Doo Expedition SWT 900 ACE snowmobiles or equivalent models.

The required snowmobiles must feature a 900 CC displacement, non-turbocharged, liquid-cooled, 3-cylinder, 4-stroke engine capable of towing heavy loads with improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. Additional critical specifications include RAS X front suspension and uMotion articulating slide rear suspension for durability; hydraulic brakes; track dimensions of 154" length by 24" width with 1.50" minimum lug height; minimum 36" ski stance; fuel capacity of at least 11 US gallons; and dry weight not exceeding 700 pounds. The snowmobiles must accommodate two occupants and include hand and thumb warmers, rear cargo rack, 135-liter cargo box, 12V power outlet, wrap-around modular front bumper, heavy-duty front and rear bumpers with hitch mounts, J-hooks on both ends, ultra-high windshield with deflectors and mirrors, ice scratchers, 50-liter utility bag, riser block bag, glovebox extension, auxiliary and bumper LED lights, ski liners, belly pan protection, track studs, and tunnel protection. The cost or bid price must incorporate the trade-in value of four used snowmobiles toward the purchase of these two new units, with trade-in evaluations provided separately. Uniform machines are critical for this application, as the team operates four snowmobiles together for winter trail work and grooming, requiring quick parts and accessory exchanges and enhanced field safety during operations.

*The specified 4-stroke engine is required for high horsepower and torque to tow heavy loads, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions for cleaner burning technology.

The RAS X front suspension and uMotion articulating slide rear are chosen for their durability. The robust steering arm and proven platform longevity have eliminated the need to replace tie rod ends while using this front suspension.

Many specifications focus not just on repair costs but also on minimizing downtime and ensuring field safety in case of breakdowns.

Our team operates four snowmachines together for winter trail work and grooming. Using uniform machines is critical for quick parts and accessory exchanges and enhancing safety during field operations.
