PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service (NPS), MWR NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for construction services. The acquisition will be conducted using Invitation for Bids (IFB)/Sealed Bid process. The NPS intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to this IFB.

Project Description: The Work consists of removing the ASBESTOS Abatement by a licensed Asbestos Abatement contractor before demolition of each building can commence. Next demolition and removal of comfort stations #57 & 66. Site preparation will include leveling and compaction of site pad and all rough-in utility lines are serviceable and ready to connect to. Prior to delivery and installation of comfort stations in the spring, the contractor will ensure the building pad is prepared to receive the building. Deliver and install two prefabricated comfort stations in the South Unit’s Cottonwood Campground. Building designs will meet or exceed all ABAAS/ADA requirements and will be constructed to the floor plan design specifications prescribed in the Project Specification. These restrooms will be configured to include a total of 4 sinks, 5 toilets, one urinal, and 4 hand dryers. Also, installation of ABA accessible sidewalks around perimeter of each newly installed comfort stations.
Period of Performance: The Performance period is expected to be 170 days. On-site work hours: Work is expected to be performed during normal business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work on Saturdays, Sundays, Federal holidays, early morning, or at night may not be performed without prior consent from the Contracting Officer.

The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications and drawings on or about July 15, 2021. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the IFB issue date and it is anticipated that the bid opening date will be scheduled on/about August 18, 2021. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
The IFB package, including applicable specifications and drawings, will be posted to Sam.gov. No hardcopies or email copies will be provided. Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. Bidding documents must be submitted in hard-copy format with bonding as per terms of the IFB that will follow this notice.
A Pre-Bid site visit will be scheduled, and the details announced with the release of the IFB.
