PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE:

The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Nekota Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing an Invitation for Bid to remodel Collection Storage building located at Badlands National Park, Interior, South Dakota. The acquisition will be conducted using Invitation for Bids (IFB)/Sealed Bid process.

SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6323B0014

Project Description: The Collection Storage building was built in 2005 and is a combination of cast in place concrete, CMU and steel structure. The building is used by both the Badlands National Park (BADL) and Minute Man Missile National Historic Site (MIMI). The goal of this project is to make the current structure more adept at maintaining better control of temperature and relative humidity, while increasing the security by updating the fire suppression system. Work Consists of

1. HVAC replacement and improvements, ductwork revisions, hollow metal doors and hardware, fire sprinkler modifications.

PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000

Period of Performance: 365 calendar days, after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor in late July 2023. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Jackson County, SD will apply.

The associated NAICS code is 238220 HVAC. The small business size standard is $19 million. This project is set aside 100 % Total Small Business.

SITE VISIT: Will be noted in Solicitation package when posted to SAM.GOV.

The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.

REGISTRATIONS: To be awarded a contract, an offeror must have an UEI number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.

This pre-solicitation will be posted to SAM.GOV for 15 days. Following the pre-solicitation, the government intends to issue a formal solicitation with construction specifications on or about June 20, 2023. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the IFB issue date and it is anticipated to close on July 21, 2023. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
