PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
Pre-Solicitation Notice: The National Park Service, Contracting Operations (ConOps) Central intends to issue a solicitation for periodic replacement of granulated activated carbon (GAC) filter media for Rocky Mountain National Park. The Request for Quotes (RFQ) that will follow this notice is expected to result in a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow

Project Description: Work shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform granulated activated carbon filter media exchange service at the Headquarters East (HQ East) water treatment plant (PWSID #CO0135685). Project will include removal and off-site disposal of spent activated carbon and refill of filter vessels with fresh granular activated carbon media. All work and supplies shall meet or exceed all Federal and State requirements for public drinking water facilities.
GAC shall be Calgon Carbon Filtrasorb 400 granulated activated carbon or approved equal.
Filtrasorb 400 data sheet is included in the appendixes to assist bidders in verifying equivalent products.
GAC material must have been developed specifically for use in potable water filtration and be suitable for removal of dissolved organics, including compounds causing taste and odor problems and trihalomethanes (THMs). Product must meet all AWWA B604 standards for potable water and NSF/ANSI Standard 61.
Period of Performance: Anticipated from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026

The official solicitation package and its attachments will be issued and available within the next 5 business days and will be posted to Sam.Gov. If there is a delay, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible. This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation 140P6325Q0022. The responses will be due approximately August 22, 2025. The specific date and time will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
The RFQ package, including applicable specifications, will be posted to Sam.Gov. No hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation will be provided. Offerors must have a UEI number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov
