About this file
This document is a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC) for the procurement of Apple iPad Air 5 devices and Otterbox Defender Series Pro cases for use as Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) by the 133rd Airlift Wing.
The JOFOC justifies the requirement as brand-name specific, as only Apple iPad Air 5 devices are approved for use as EFBs per the AF/AMC EFB Approved Hardware/Software List. No other devices are authorized. The procurement has an estimated cost of $[cost] and will be competed among vendors able to provide the approved Apple devices. The government will continue to monitor the approved hardware list and compete the requirement accordingly in the future. This JOFOC is being used to satisfy the documentation requirements of FAR 13.106-1 for brand-name specific procurements.
