Description of Supplies

MATERIAL BLANKET PURCHASE AGREEMENT (BPA)

Each Call Order will incorporate a defined list of supplies, delivery schedule, and period of performance

Standards of Basic Services Unless specified otherwise in a Call Order, all materials to be delivered as scheduled within 5 business days of notification of award. All material will be brought to site in undamaged condition in the specified quantities, type and sizes.

SCOPE OF WORK

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District (USACE) is requesting heavy and civil construction materials purchasing for various locations in the State of Florida and the State of Georgia in the form of a Blanket Purchase Agreement. The USACE is in need of various project materials, tools and services to perform a variety of projects throughout these locations.

This BPA shall cover all heavy and Civil construction materials, tools and services associated with heavy and Civil construction functions. The Corps may choose to perform any of the work identified in these specifications. A description of the work to be performed will be given in the specifications of each call.

Protection of Government Owed Property, Material, and Work The contractor shall protect and preserve all government materials, supplies, and equipment while in their possession. The contractor shall comply with all reasonable requests of the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to enclose or to specially protect such property. If the COR determines that material, equipment, supplies, and work performed are not adequately protected by the contractor, such property may be protected by the government and the cost thereof may be charged to the contractor or deducted from any payment due him. If any damages are made by the contractor to any government owed property, the contractor shall repair at no cost; or the price to fix shall be deducted from the contract price.

Quality Assurance The Government will evaluate the quality of the Contractor's work through the inspection of the contractor’s performance of each call. If the quality of performance is not acceptable on any call, the contractor shall make necessary deficiencies at no cost; or the price to fix shall be deducted from the call price.

Transportation Transportation will be addressed on a per call basis.

Delivery Unless otherwise specified the contractor is responsible for transporting all materials. to the work site.

All material will be delivered securely and protected to avoid damage to materials. Unless specified otherwise, all materials will be unloaded IAW EM 385-1-1 (NOV 14) LHE avoiding injury of personnel and damage to equipment and materials. If required by the manufacture, materials will be protected from direct sunlight, moisture or weather conditions that will adversely affect the quality of the delivered materials in transit to site. All materials will be inspected jointly by the contractor and a government representative.
