If the filter pack has been fully installed, the Contractor shall install a solid pipe extension to the top of the relief well riser to a minimum height of eight feet above the top of existing grade of the surrounding berm, and backfill the surrounding excavated area to the existing surrounding berm grade.

1.7 PUMP TESTING

Step-drawdown pump testing shall be performed on RW-25 following installation and development (Paragraph PUMP TEST), and specific capacity pump testing shall be performed on the other nine wells (Paragraph SAND

TEST).

PART 2 PRODUCTS

2.1 WELL SCREEN

Well screen shall be constructed of stainless steel having an inside diameter of not less than twelve inches Submit the proposed well screen prior to installation. Screen openings shall be uniform in size and pattern, and shall be spaced approximately equally around the circumference of the pipe.

2.1.1 Stainless Steel Well Screen

The well screen and fittings shall be fabricated entirely from stainless steel conforming to ASTM A312/A312M, AISI Type 304. The well screen shall be of stainless steel welded rod and wire wrapped construction, continuous slot screens. The well screen, pipe, and fittings shall have a minimum collapse strength of 104 psi. The screen, pipe, and fittings shall have a clear inside diameter of 11.8 inches.

2.1.1.1 Couplings

Couplings for the stainless steel well screen shall consist of the same material as the well screen and shall be threaded, flanged, and/or fitted with a welding ring. The couplings shall conform in design to the couplings recommended by the manufacturer of the well screen.

2.1.1.2 Perforations

The 12 inch diameter well screen shall have a number 80 slot, 0.080-inch open slot. There shall be a total opening of not less than 167 square inches per foot of 12 inch diameter well screen.

2.2 RISER PIPE

The relief well riser pipe and any blank sections required shall be 11.8 inch inside diameter stainless steel pipe and shall be a minimum of Schedule 10 (0.180-inch) in wall thickness compatible with the requirements specified in Paragraph WELL SCREEN.
