Medical Readiness Contracting Office - East (MRCO-E), Fort Liberty, NC 28310, has a requirement for a Critical Care Course and a Paramedic Course within 50 miles of Fort Liberty, NC.
The contractor will provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, tools, materials, supervision and services necessary to perform the Paramedic Course in support of 82nd Airborne Division. This will be a non-personal service contract.
The Paramedic Course training will consist of the use of advance airway devices, intravenous lines, pharmacology, cardiovascular systems, and principles of electrocardiography, dysrhythmia recognition, defibrillation/pacing, communication skills, and a review of basic and advance life support. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Registry Certification Exam paramedic.
Student will also receive training in ACLS, PALS and ITLS.
The Critical Care Course requires student to be North Carolina/National Registry Paramedic Certified. The Critical Care Emergency Medical Transport Program is designed to prepare paramedics and nurses to function as members of a critical care transport team. Critical patients that must be transported between facilities requires a different level of care from hospital or emergency field patients. Participants will gain an understanding of the special needs of critical patients during transport, become familiar with the purpose and mechanism of hospital procedures during transport. Students will complete (6) Clinical rotations at specialty ICU, PICU, NICU, and Critical Care Transport. Upon completion of this program student will be eligible to take the PFC, CCP-C, and CP-C certification exam.
