DATARAY SOLUTIONS SOW

A) INTRODUCTION

The mission of the Cass Lake I.H.S. Hospital Unit is to provide the best possible health care services to the Native American population. The primary focus of this effort is to assist Cass Lake I.H.S Hospital with standardizing our care delivery and processes within both the hospital and the clinics, which streamlines efficiencies, allows a great degree of cross-utilization of resources and leads to long term cost savings.

B) BACKGROUND

DataRay is the only vendor that has developed a complete set of barcoding solutions for RPMS sites, and for the majority of these solutions DataRay is the only vendor with existing products. These solutions are a product of both the software development from DataRay as well as many hours of work from CACs, pharmacy directors, and lab directors and other IHS and Tribal staff.

Considerable time, research, testing and expense would be necessary for development of a comparable interface with RPMS using another vendor. There have also been patches added to RPMS specifically for the purpose of integrating with DataRay products. DataRay is the only source that provides a comprehensive package including RPMS interface, thermal printers, scanners wristbands and a variety of labels. Their 1nterface is designed to work with RPMS and is functioning well at other IHS service unit facilities. DataRay is the only source that supplies a RPMS interface for these solutions that is designed to be compatible with RPMS, PIMS v5.3.

There are over 50 IHS hospitals and clinics currently using DataRay include Acoma Canoncito Laguna Hospital, Bristol Bay Area Health Corporation, Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority, Cherokee Indian Hospital Authority - NC, Cherokee Nation W.W. Hastings Hospital al, Chickasaw nation Medical Center, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, Claremore Indian Hospital, Clinton Service Unit, Crownpoint Health Care Facility, Gallup Indian Medical Center, Lawton Service Unit Northern Navajo Medical Center, Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Quentin Burdick Memorial Hospital , Santa Fe Service Unit, Winnebago Hospital.

C) SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT

1. MAJOR DUTIES:

Cass Lake IHS Hospital will support installation and training of the service, this includes installing utilities needed to capture data output from the customers system, analyzing the data stream, and developing custom formatting instructions to meet the label formatting needs of that system.

In order for DataRay to provide support for the product, it is essential that the Cass Lake IHS Hospital grant DataRay VPN access to the D4 Network Devices. The D4 devices provide DataRay advanced tools and diagnostics to troubleshoot networking problems, system output changes, printer status, and other issues. DataRay needs direct network access to the D4 devices to operate these utilities. DataRay always protects the integrity of the hospital’s network and of Protected Health Information, as is required by the signed HIPAA Business Associates Agreement.

DataRay will come on site to do the D4 replacement and installations.
