About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a service maintenance agreement for the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Division of Preclinical Innovation's scientific instrumentation. The agreement covers comprehensive Gold Plan coverage for multiple Revvity scientific instruments, including 8 Opera Phenix systems, 1 Operetta CLS, 1 Flex 750 Plate Handler, and 1 Robox Fixed Cell unit, with a primary objective of providing preventative maintenance and repair services.

The service contract is structured for a 12-month initial performance period (optimally 09/02/2025 through 09/01/2026) with two potential option years. Key service requirements include one annual preventative maintenance visit, performance verification, detector/laser calibration, on-site repair services, 24/7 technical support, priority response times (24-48 hours), software updates, and detailed service reporting. The contract specifies that only factory-trained Revvity service engineers will perform maintenance, with all parts, labor, and travel included at no additional cost to the government. The pre-solicitation indicates this will be a sole-source award to Revvity Health Sciences, Inc., as they are the exclusive authorized service provider for these specialized scientific instruments.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Title of Project:

Service agreement renewal for NCATS Operetta CLS (1), Opera Phenix (6), Flex 750 and robot fixed cell units at

NCATS.

Statement of Need and Purpose:

An annual service agreement is needed for preventive maintenance visits, adjustments and service calls associated with our existing Operetta CLS, Opera Phenix systems, and the equipment that support them (Flex 750 plate handler and robot fixed cell).

Background Information and Objective:

The National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) Division of Preclinical Innovation (DPI) requires a service maintenance agreement to support our existing high throughput microplate-based automated imaging systems (Operetta CLS; 1), the high throughput confocal imaging system (Opera Phenix; 6), and the Flex 750 plate handler and Robot Fixed Cell.

These instruments are used throughout NCATS DPI for a wide variety of uses, including monitoring and recording cellular-level biological activities or changes in living cells, measuring and analyzing stem cell growth and differentiation, phenotypic screening and high content screening to measure changes in fluorescence and coorimetric data in tissues in respone to drug treatments.

This service agreement would cover critical, highly utilized instruments that will allow us to have continuous service from this equipment, thus preventing costly work stoppages and protecting the integrity of our research.

Period of Performance:

Service is to be initiated upon receipt of order. Coverage period of service agreement is 12 months, optimally 09/02/2025 through 09/01/2026, or upon award. Option Years included if possible:
