Text version
Roofing area available for the new PV array(s) – inside the red box [approximate].
The lower roof as viewed from the North Tower’s roof – picture taken prior to the building-integrated horizontal array being permanently removed.
Line drawing created when the tilted array was installed in 2012. The “Existing Array” is no longer installed and so will be the location where the new bi-facial PV array(s) will be installed.
Picture taken while the tilted roof array was being installed in 2012.
Conduits that service the tilted roof array and so will have to be factored into the layout of the new ballasted roof rack that will hold bi-facial PV modules
Another view of the conduits that service the existing tilted array. The large electrical enclosure, along with the conduits that connect to it have been removed.
Another view of the old horizontal array that has since been removed.
Picture taken after the reroofing was completed and only the tilted array is being re-installed; the new array will now occupy part of the rooftop previously used for the horizontal array. All roof edges now guarded by a ballasted guard rail system. Picture taken from a 5th floor window of the tower. (Sorry about the reflected images in the picture.)
Zoomed picture taken after the reroofing was completed. Trying to capture the major roof obstacles:
center-line conduit runs, vents, one HVAC outdoor unit, and water drains. Picture taken from a 5th floor window of the tower. (Sorry about the reflected images in the picture.)
