About this file
This Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, to conduct market research for a SUPPORT ASSEMBLY,BE (NSN: 1560-01-221-2619) used in the UH-60 BLACKHAWK weapon system. The acquisition is currently limited to a small number of responsible sources due to unique engineering capabilities, design knowledge, and manufacturing skills required for the part. The agency is seeking potential manufacturing/supply sources, with interest in various small business categories including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small businesses.
The solicitation (SPRRA1-25-R-0066) emphasizes that contractors must meet prequalification requirements and be prepared to handle recurring and nonrecurring engineering services. Responsibilities include supply chain management, logistics, parts forecasting, long-lead procurement, and addressing potential obsolescence issues. Importantly, this is an informational document and does not constitute an actual solicitation, with no funds available for response preparation. Contractors interested in becoming potential sources are encouraged to seek source approval through AvMC's public website and must have current United States/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification to access export-controlled data.
