About this file
This document is a Justification for Brand Name Exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) for Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Hosting Services, issued by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). CISA intends to award a competitive task order to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) authorized resellers of AWS Cloud Hosting Services through NASA SEWP V contract vehicles. The procurement is for renewing existing AWS accounts, with a five-month performance period starting August 15, 2025.
The cloud hosting services package includes comprehensive AWS services across compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS), storage (S3, EBS), database (RDS, DynamoDB), networking (VPC, CloudFront), security (IAM, GuardDuty), analytics, machine learning, developer tools, and other categories. CISA determined AWS is essential due to its unique technical, operational, and security requirements, deep integration with CISA's existing systems, and inability of alternative cloud providers to meet their specific needs without significant disruption and risk. The total estimated value includes a base estimate and an optional quantity line item representing 25% of the value, to be exercised based on consumption during the performance period.
