About this file
This document is a draft Contract for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the State of Florida, Department of Management Services, for Aviation Hull Protection and Indemnity Insurance for the 2024-2025 policy period. The Contract outlines the terms and conditions for the selected broker who will be responsible for marketing, securing, and administering the insurance policy, which must provide coverage for aviation physical damage and liability. The Contract term is for one year, beginning September 28, 2024, with an option for additional policy periods if pricing for such was provided in the Contractor's bid. The solicitation does not mention any set-asides or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, but it does encourage the involvement of woman-, veteran-, and minority-owned business enterprises. The current incumbent provider is the National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA, with a premium of $118,227 for the first year of the expiring policy. The solicitation does not specify a budget range or award value, but indicates the Department intends to make a single award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
