Concrete Specifications

CONCRETE REQUIREMENTS

FY2023

1. Delivery Hours: Normal operating hours are 7:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. Monday through

Friday. Delivery will be made with twenty-four (24) hours of each task order. Deliveries for

Saturday and Sunday require an advanced twenty-four (24) hour notice. Concrete trucks will arrive at a set time, pre-arranged between the contractor and government representative, utilizing either Post Road Gate or Fort Richardson Main Gate as primary entry points to JBER, Alaska.

The contractor and government representative will determine truck delivery intervals for orders requiring more than on truck. Upon delivery of any material, tickets shall be provided for each load to the government representative.

2. Availability: Contractor will provide year-round availability of concrete; a majority of the concrete will be purchased during the summer months.

3. Additional Charges: There will be no additional charges for truck Stand-By-time; and four

(4) yard minimum order.

4. Quality Control Test Reports: Contractor shall provide quality control test results of all material in accordance with the specification for each mixture type upon request of the Heavy

Repair Shop, 773d Civil Engineering Squadron.

5. The concrete Mixes are as follows, broken out by CLIN. This will be provided as an attachment for each fiscal year and will be for a 5-year period.

1- 5 sack 3/4 Agg .55 w/c Air 4" slump

2- 5 sack HE 3/4 Agg .55 w/c Air 4" slump

3- 5.5 sack 3/4 Agg .50 w/c Air 4" slump

4- 5.5 sack HE 3/4 Agg .50 w/c Air 4" slump

5- 6 sack 3/4 Agg .55 w/c Air 4" slump

6- 6 sack 3/4 Agg .50 w/c 6" slump

7- 6 sack HE 3/4 Agg .50 w/c Air 4" slump

8- 650 Flex 3/4" .39 Air 3" slump

9- 650 Flex 3/4" Non Air 3" slump

10- 650 Flex 50% SLAG 3/4" .39 Air 3" slump

11- 650 Flex 50% SLAG non air 3" slump

12- 5.5 sack Muni Slip Form Curb

13- 6 sack 3/8" .45 air 8" slump

14- Monofilament Fibers 3/4"

15- Non Chloride Accelerator

16- Calcium Chloride

17- Color (choice of customer)

18- Color Washout fee

19- Winter Heat Charge 10/15 - 4/15

20- Environmental Charge

6. Estimated Quantities: It is estimated that up to 1000 CY of 650 Flex mix could be ordered each year. In addition, 200 CY - 800 CY of other concrete mixes could be ordered as well.

Historical data shows that $2-$2.5M was used 2018 through 2023, with 60% being line items 1-

3(Fly Ash / Slump) material.
