GENERAL

A.1.1

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Bureau of Land Management-Socorro Field Office (BLM-SFO) has a requirement to construct an exclosure, 1.5 acre in size (approximately 1100 ft. +/- 50 ft.). The exclosure fence will be a pipe rail with two cable strands (see attached drawings). Also, to be constructed is a water catchment structure - constructed of pipe and purlins, with a propanel roof. The water catchment roof is composed of two- 20’ X 25’ structures which sloped inward and drained into a 6” galvanized gutter. The catchment will feed into a UV resistant HDPE 5,000-gallon low profile storage tank. The contractor will bury the storage tank to 20”, level, and bed the bottom of the hole and ensure tank is level and tank bed is free of sharp rocks that could puncture tank. The storage tank will be plumbed to a 1 ¼” brass ball valve to be enclosed in a HDPE valve box. The storage tank will then be plumbed with 1 ¼” HDPE poly pipe which will feed the rainmaker trough that has a self-contained plumbing float valve built in. HDPE poly fittings will be welded with a pipe welder and pipe will be buried to 24”. The contractor shall complete tasks described under section A.4.0 as SPECIFIC TASKS and abide by items described under section A.6.0 and A.7.0. The contractor shall ensure that all equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services are provided to perform required tasks, except as specified in section A.3 as GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES.
