Specifications Boat, Motor, and Trailer
Statement of Need
The Indiana Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit (INCFWRU) needs to purchase a utility (jon) boat for facilitating field work to collect data on fish and wildlife populations from lakes and rivers in Indiana and the surrounding region, and to train students and Cooperators in Boating Safety. This equipment will support the safety and field programs of the Indiana Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit for training students and USGS employees for certification of motorboat operation as required by DOI policy, and for use in research of fish and wildlife in a variety of habitats pursuant to research objectives associated with fisheries and wildlife management, aquatic and terrestrial sciences, and resource conservation.
