About this file
This is a Brand Name or Equal Worksheet ("Salient Characteristics") document for specification 593-26-102, which establishes specifications for an Engineering Conference Room High Performance Wall System. The brand name specified is Faulkbuilt High Performance Building System (Architectural Building System).
The document details comprehensive requirements for a modular wall system constructed from 16-gauge steel split super studs with a 2 7/16" cavity width to accommodate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components installed horizontally and vertically. The system must support wall heights up to 24 feet, extend to deck for 1-hour fire rating capability, and extend into plenum space with drop ceiling mount support. The wall cavity must accommodate embedded elements including charting stations, wayfinding, security systems, touchless entry mechanisms, millwork, and plumbing fixtures. The system shall accept all door frame styles (welded and knockdown), achieve a solid wall Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 53 or higher, and include a pre-engineered UL-listed electrical system with hospital-grade power for critical and non-critical applications, equipped with 25 feet of HCF-MC power whip and factory-mounted rough-in boxes for power, data, medical gas, and nurse call systems. Wall cladding shall consist of ¾" MDF with steel fastening, finished with healthcare-grade 3D laminate or UV-cured finish, resistant to staining, chipping, and cracking, and cleanable with healthcare-grade disinfectants. The system shall install three times faster than conventional construction with seamless installation and clean process, require a 3-week manufacturer lead time for standard components, be shipped as knock-down components with QR labels, utilize cloud-based Revit software for collaboration, include a 10-year limited warranty, and meet sustainability requirements of 65% recyclability at end of useful life with GREENGUARD, LEED v4, and WELL v2 certification. Additional specifications include a narrow-framed glass sliding door with soft close/open mechanism and 3/8" tempered glass with anodized aluminum finish; walls totaling 47 linear feet comprising 16 linear feet of glass wall at 10 feet high and 31 linear feet of solid wall at 10-12.5 feet high; and all reconfiguration work performed at no additional cost using non-proprietary, industry-standard materials and equipment.
