About this file
This is a Brand Name or Equal Worksheet establishing salient characteristics for a high-performance wall system specification (593-26-102 Engineering Conf Rm High Performance Wall System). The specification defines requirements for the Faulkbuilt High Performance Building System or equal alternatives.
The core product is a modular architectural wall system constructed of 16-gauge steel split super studs with a 2 7/16" cavity width accommodating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. Key structural capabilities include 24-foot wall height, 1-hour fire rating extension to deck, and plenum space integration with drop ceiling support. The system features ¾" MDF wall cladding with healthcare-grade 3D laminate or UV-cured finish, resistant to staining and cleanable with healthcare disinfectants. Acoustic performance specifications require a minimum 53+ STC rating for solid walls with insulation and 44 STC without insulation. The system includes factory-mounted rough-in boxes and pre-engineered, UL-listed electrical systems with hospital-grade power whips, accommodating both critical and non-critical applications. Specification requirements also mandate narrow-framed glass sliding doors with soft-close mechanisms, 3/8" tempered glass, and anodized aluminum finishes. The wall configuration totals 47 linear feet across glass and solid wall sections with height ranges of 10'-0" to 12'-6", each panel featuring integrated leveling devices with ±½ inch base adjustability and ±1 inch head adjustability. Additional requirements include seismic bracing to deck, LEED v4 and WELL v2 certification capability, minimum 65% recyclability, GREENGUARD certification, 3-week manufacturer lead time for standard components, cloud-based Revit design collaboration, QR-labeled knockdown shipping, and a limited 10-year warranty. The specification also mandates that all reconfiguration work use non-proprietary equipment and materials, enabling owner-performed modifications without licensed personnel or additional costs.
