About this file
This document outlines requirements for a delivery order and related federal contract opportunity. NOAA seeks to procure 500 GPS radio occultation data points per day for 30 consecutive days from an awarded contractor to validate data formats, latency, quality and coverage for potential longer-term operational use in weather prediction models. The contractor must also be available up to 8 hours per week for support calls throughout the period of performance. Pricing should be provided for a license with data sharing rights as specified in the statement of work, allowing open access to data 24 hours after collection. The related federal contract opportunity is a multiple award IDIQ soliciting proposals for commercially sourced operational GPS radio occultation data to meet NOAA's neutral atmosphere and ionosphere data needs. Questions are due by August 10, 2022 and proposals are due electronically by August 23, 2022 to the NOAA contracting officer. The awarded contracts will fall under the Department of Commerce and NOAA.
