About this file
This document is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for water taxi and utility boat services in support of the USS Gerald R. Ford's DEPERM event. The U.S. Navy requires: 1) water taxi services to transport approximately 500 sailors between Pier 11 at Norfolk Naval Base and the Delta Pier on July 17, 2024, and 2) a utility/emergency vessel to remain at Delta Pier and be available 24/7 from July 13-23, 2024. The water taxi services are required for a 6-hour period on July 17th, while the utility vessel is needed for the full 10-day period. All boat crew members must have DBIDS access, and a security sweep will be conducted prior to the initial water taxi trip. The associated federal contract opportunity, Solicitation Number N0018924Q0363, seeks commercial vendors to provide these services on a firm-fixed-price basis. The required period of performance is July 13-23, 2024, with the place of performance being between Norfolk Naval Base Pier 11 and the Delta Pier. The government intends to negotiate a firm-fixed-price task order for these water taxi and emergent transport services.
