Solicitation Questions and Answers
1. Will there be a 3 phase, 480V, 100A power source available somewhere on site to power the primary injection test set or will a generator be required?
This question needs to be more specific regarding what locations as not all locations have 480V. With that being said, I would advise bringing a generator in case needed.
1. Is primary injection testing required on the molded case circuit breakers or just the draw out breakers?
Generally speaking, MCCBs do not have to be primary injected unless specifically listed in the SOW for certain locations
1. If the MCCB’s are to primary injected, is it only for breakers 250A’s and up?
See answer to Question 2.
1. Can you please provide the test results from the last time the equipment was tested? A few samples from each type of equipment would be great if they are not easily accessible electronically.
Samples of previous testing can be provided to the awarded vendor
1. Will all work that requires an outage need be performed during off hours and weekends?
Outage work is preferred to be done during Off-Hours and Weekends. (Outage work will need to be scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance for Building 200 and Bldg 1G)
1. Can the bid due date be extended a week so we have time to price properly?
Due date for quotes have been extended until Thursday, April 7 at 10:00 am Local Time (Central)
1. In what year(s) of the contract is the LV breaker testing – F.5.9 to take place? The 5kv are listed in year three but the 480V breakers are not listed.
Annually, each year of the contract. (The 2-year, 3-year, & 5-year services shall be performed in addition to all the annual testing listed in the SOW)
1. In what year(s) of the contract is the transformer testing (TTR, Excitation, Winding, etc) portion of the scope to take place. The Oil samples and visual inspection is listed in the annual but the testing is not listed in any of the years.
Annually, each year of the contract. (The 2-year, 3-year, & 5-year services shall be performed in addition to all the annual testing listed in the SOW)
1. For the network protectors, is there a set scope of work requested or should we default to NETA MTS specifications?
