About this file
This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the removal, disposal, and replacement of outdated warehouse racking within Building 6, Bay 1 at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD). The primary objective is to address maneuverability hazards created by narrow aisles in the current racking system by removing one row of racking and redistributing the recovered space to increase aisle widths among the remaining racks. The contractor must follow the provided layout drawing "BLDG_6-1 Racking Updated.pdf" as closely as possible while maintaining the critical constraint that the distance between the first and last row of racking remains identical to the current configuration to prevent conflicts with overhead hazards.
The Department of the Army, through TYAD, requires complete removal and proper disposal of the existing racking system followed by installation of the replacement racking in accordance with the specified design. A site visit is anticipated prior to the official solicitation, which was expected to be released by the end of August. Interested contractors should submit the completed SF 648-C form (Statement of Disclosure for Federal Employment) to Eric.J.Wolfe15.civ@army.mil to confirm attendance at the site visit. This is a pre-solicitation announcement for a construction or facility improvement project involving warehouse infrastructure upgrades.
