About this file
This is a Statement of Work for workplace safety shoes and boots to be supplied to Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) by UT-Battelle, LLC. The seller must provide a wide variety of ASTM F 2413-compliant safety shoes and boots through both a local storefront and an on-site climate-controlled mobile shoe store. The local storefront, located within 30 miles of the ORNL campus, must display at least 200 styles and maintain inventory of at least 5,000 pairs in various men's and women's sizes. The mobile shoe store must display at least 50 approved styles and maintain at least 1,500 pairs on-site. The seller is required to provide on-site mobile services at a minimum of twice per month with the ability to accommodate occasional services on limited notice. All inventory management is the seller's responsibility, and inventory must be sufficient to minimize backorders.
The seller must accept ORNL's Safety Shoe Voucher form at both locations and coordinate all fittings, ordering, receiving, notification, and delivery directly with employees. A minimum six-month warranty on defects (excluding normal wear and tear) is required, along with coordination of exchanges and replacements. The pricing structure requires the seller to provide a standardized discount applicable to all brands and manufacturers, valid for both in-stock and special-order items across all sales channels. Monthly invoicing occurs on the 5th calendar day with copies of approved vouchers attached, detailing voucher number, employee name and badge number, charge number, and purchase amount, sorted and subtotaled by charge number in ORNL-standard Excel format. Payment is made upon receipt of valid and correct invoices supported by completed voucher forms. The company is open to reviewing alternative invoicing and payment processes such as B2B that may offer greater efficiency.
