About this file
This is a specification attachment for Request for Quote (RFQ) 442269 detailing the technical requirements for a Strada Intelligent Raman Microscope system. The specification outlines a comprehensive research-grade microscopy platform consisting of a fully enclosed core unit with Class 1 laser safety certification, featuring motorized and encoded components for automated alignment and performance optimization. The system includes a specially adapted research-grade Leica microscope with reflected light LED illumination, a motorized 6-position turret, multiple objective lenses (5×, 50×LWD, and 100×), an 8.3 megapixel color video camera, and software-controlled switching between laser delivery and optical imaging capabilities.
The system incorporates a Renishaw MS30 motorized XYZ stage with 50 nm encoded step size in x and y axes and 8 nm step size in z axis, enabling automated feedback-controlled mapping and surface topography generation. The Raman Workspace software license provides complete system control, data acquisition, integrated analysis and presentation tools, with chemometric capabilities including principal component analysis, hierarchical cluster analysis, partial least squares, and non-negative least squares. The equipment package includes a Centrus CCD detector (1024 x 256 pixels, Peltier cooled to -70°C), dual Raman excitation modules (532 nm DPSS laser at 100 mW and 785 nm diode laser at 120 mW), binocular eyepieces, a high-performance Intel Core i7 PC with 16GB RAM and dual monitors running Windows 11 Pro, a 750 mm x 1200 mm optical table with passive frame and castors, and Renishaw Raman Assist support package providing access to applications scientists, training modules, software updates, and worldwide seminars.
