About this file
This is an Attachment D document describing the base bid and additive alternates for a construction project with limited agency funding. The document outlines a two-phase additive alternate structure designed to maximize project completion within available budget constraints. The base bid includes all work specified in the construction documents excluding the additive alternates. Additive Alternate #1 involves Storage Building 205, requiring the furnishing and installation of four 14'-0" x 15'-0" overhead sectional doors and six 14'-0" x 14'-0" overhead sectional doors across designated locations. Additive Alternate #2 covers Storage Building 207, requiring the furnishing and installation of four 16'-0" x 16'-0" overhead sectional doors. The additive alternates will be selected in numerical order based on priority and funding availability, with all selected alternates required to comply with project schedules and contract specifications.
The contract award structure is contingent upon available funding and follows the bid pricing form specified in the Invitation to Bid Attachment C. The agency has explicitly acknowledged limited funding availability and may not have sufficient resources to construct the entire project scope. Contractors will submit pricing for the base bid and each additive alternate separately, allowing the agency to fund work incrementally based on budget constraints and prioritization criteria. This approach enables the contracting agency to maximize construction value delivered while remaining within established financial limitations.
