About this file

This document is a question submission template for the NSF X-Labs Initiative. Interested parties submit questions via email to XLabs@nsf.gov with the topic title included in the subject line. Questions must be submitted by the deadline specified in the relevant Topic Announcement to be included in a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document posted on SAM.gov. NSF notes that not all submitted questions will necessarily receive direct answers.

The template requires submitters to provide point of contact information (name, organization/affiliation, and email) and to identify the related topic, referenced document, and specific sections of the document relevant to their question. Submitters must categorize their questions using checkboxes covering topics including overall initiative objectives, proposal submission and review, team eligibility and set-up, organizational structure and autonomy, partnerships and collaborations, budgets and funding, OT agreements and compliance, intellectual property ownership and management, structure/phases/milestones, scope and technology topics, accountability and impact, or other categories. The template provides space for the actual question text and an option to specify additional details if the question falls outside predefined categories.
