About this file
This document is a detailed specification (Attachment C) for a 4SPPM Scale/Printer Stand-Alone system for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The equipment is required to weigh product and print labels, with specific technical requirements including electronic scale capabilities (0.01 to 30 pounds weighing capacity), a thermal label printer capable of printing USDA safe handling statements, Country of Origin Labels, nutrition facts, and UPC codes, and advanced information technology specifications. The system must support wireless transmission, have a Windows/Linux/Unix operating system compatible with DeCA's network, and include a touch screen interface with minimum 4,000 Product Look-Up (PLU) codes.
The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements including dimensional constraints (21 inches long/wide, 30 inches deep, 13 inches high), electrical specifications for various global locations (120V/60Hz for USA, 120V/50Hz for Pacific Theater stores, 220V/50Hz for European stores), and contractor requirements such as ready-to-assemble delivery, de-installation of old equipment, installation by authorized technicians, operational testing, and provision of service contact information and operating instructions. The equipment must meet Underwriters Laboratory (UL) standards, include a one-year warranty, and maintain parts support for the equipment's lifecycle plus five additional years.
