The work requires one medium excavator (30-50 thousand pounds) and two quad dump trucks with operators, with estimated work quantities including 160 hours each for the excavator and dump trucks, 25 cubic yards of embankment, 125 feet each of shallow and deep erosion control turbidity curtain, 80 cubic yards of non-hazardous contaminated material handling, and various other items including guardrail reconstruction and slope restoration.

Pricing must include all costs, including one-time charges, fees, and potential additional costs such as shipping and handling. The contractor may offer quick payment terms for early invoice payment. Mobilization payment will be split, with 50% paid after completion of work in Baraga County and M-28/M-38 in Houghton County, and the remainder paid after completion of work on M-26, M-203, and US-41 in Houghton County. MDOT will provide traffic control, Miss Dig calls, and possibly additional trucks for material hauling if needed. The low bidder will be selected based on the lowest total cost, with listed quantities being estimates only and actual work to be determined by the Program Manager.
