About this file

The document is a detailed specification for the Manoscan ESO Z Cath X1 medical device, specifically a high-resolution pressure mapping catheter for gastrointestinal tract diagnostics. The catheter features 36 channels with 432 measurement points, miniature solid-state sensors (4 mm long, 2 mm active sensing area), and is approximately 8F (2.75 mm) in diameter with pressure sensors along a 26.5 cm length. It includes 16 circumferential sensing regions with 256 total sensors and a central balloon inflation lumen.

The related federal contract opportunity is a Department of Veterans Affairs solicitation (RFQ 36C26225Q1510) seeking to acquire two Manoscan ESO Catheters X1 or equivalent, with an extended 1-year warranty. The procurement is structured as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside under NAICS code 399112, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The government intends to award a single Firm-Fixed Price contract, with offerors required to demonstrate that their proposed product meets the specified salient characteristics to be considered responsive.

MANOSCAN ESO Z CATH X1 (#3890) or EQUIVALENT

· High-Resolution Pressure Mapping: The catheter uses 36 channels and 432 measurement points to create a detailed 3D pressure map of the GI tract.

· Solid-State Pressure Sensors: The catheter utilizes miniature solid-state sensors (4 mm long with 2 mm active sensing area) spaced 1 cm apart.

· Diameter: The esophageal HRM catheter is approximately 8F (2.75 mm in diameter).

· Length: The pressure sensors are located along a 26.5 cm length of the catheter.

· Central Balloon Inflation Lumen: The catheter includes a central lumen for balloon inflation, which is used in some procedures.

· Circumferential Sensing Regions: The catheter features 16 circumferential sensing regions with 256 total sensors.

· Anorectal Version: A 10 mm diameter solid-state three-dimensional anorectal catheter is also available, says Medtronic.

· Digital Data Assimilation: The catheter's data can be assimilated digitally, allowing for the use of software tools to analyze peristaltic sequences and motor metrics like distal contractile integral (DCI), distal latency (DL), and integrated relaxation pressure (IRP).

· Versatile Applications: The catheter can be used to assess various esophageal motility disorders, including ineffective esophageal motility (IEM) and outflow obstruction.

MANOSCAN ESO Z CATH X1 Extended 1 Year Warranty (3890) or EQUIVALENT

* The warranty increases the number of uses by 1 year and 150 uses, for a total of 2 years coverage or 250 uses, whichever occurs first.
