About this file
This document is a Request for Response (RFR) from the Massachusetts Department of Corrections for Safety and Suicide Prevention Items, RFR #19DOC1000SAFETYSUICIDE. The RFR outlines a market basket approach for various safety and suicide prevention products, including personal alarms, restraint straps, safety smocks, blankets, and sleeping bags. Bidders are required to provide unit pricing for the specified items, and the accepted bid rates will remain in effect throughout the initial contract term. Additionally, bidders can offer a percentage discount off their catalog prices for all items that fall under the scope of the RFR.
The pricing terms allow for the adding and removal of products to the approved list, with rates for new items to be negotiated between the contractor and requesting department. There are no minimum order quantities, and all items will be FOB destination. The RFR does not specify any set-asides, incumbent contractors, or funding requirements and sources.
