About this file

This document is the project manual for the Phase 3 - Research Pond Project at the Rathbun State Fish Hatchery in Rathbun, Appanoose County, Iowa. The work involves the construction of ten 1.0 acre and six 0.1 acre fish rearing ponds, including a low pressure air system with a 192 sq. ft. blower building, 2-15 horsepower motors, 2 air blowers, distribution pipe, and air-lift diffusers in the ponds. The water and drainage systems will connect to the existing systems, and a concrete fish harvest kettle will be constructed at each pond outlet structure. One 25 horsepower pond water supply pump will be added to the reuse pump station. The project is a lump sum bid, and the contractor is responsible for verifying all quantities necessary to submit the lump sum bid. The project manual provides detailed specifications, drawings, and construction requirements for the various components of the research pond project.
