Statement of Work

Subject: Power Installation for Tytan water heater

The Iron River National Fish Hatchery has cultured coaster brook trout for several decades.

Early rearing of these fish has proven difficult, and we have modified our program to utilize circular tanks and heated well water. Staff have already proven that rearing brook trout on heated water in the early life stages has a significant impact on growth and survivability. We are planning an expansion of our early rearing brook trout production area to accommodate an increase in brook trout requests from our partners. Our current well water supply will not be sufficient to handle this expansion and we will need to utilize our spring water which is not the optimal temperature to rear brook trout. We have purchased an electric in-line water heater with the capability to heat up to 122 gpm 8 degrees that will allow for sufficient heated water for all tanks during the critical stages of life. Iron River NFH is requesting electrical service connection to the water heater. Specifications for electrical service hook-up for 144,000 watts, three phase, 480 volts Tytan-144 in-line water heater are as follows:

• Contractor will supply all new material, labor and supplies to complete the electrical hookup of a government furnished Tytan-144 in-line water heater.

• Contractor will field verify all measurements

• All electrical work must be performed by an electrician licensed in the state of Wisconsin

• Install a new 400 amp, 480V 3-wire subpanel in mechanical/boiler room adjacent to main distribution panel that will be fed from existing main panel.

• New subpanel shall be consistent with existing (Eaton PRL)

• Install a new 200-amp, 480V, 3-wire feeder, approximately 150 feet, installed from main distribution panel to subpanel to disconnect then to new Tytan- 144 water heater

• Conductors shall be 3/0 copper THHN and installed in galvanized rigid conduit

• Installation of NEMA 4X stainless steel 200 amp 3-pole disconnect switch shall be installed adjacent to new Tytan-144 water heater

• Relocate existing 150-amp feed from air handler room water heater to new panel.

• Work shall be compliant with State and Local Codes and the most current National Electric Code.
