STATEMENT OF WORK

GENERAL INFORMATION

Introduction: The USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center at Patuxent Research Refuge will be installing a 50 x 84, leased, modular laboratory on its grounds in Laurel, MD.

Scope: The contractor/vendor will furnish all materials and labor to properly assemble (7) 12ft x 50ft leased modular units, install skirting (provided by customer), install code compliant access ramps / stairs (provided by customer), and connect finished complex to utilities (water, sewer, electricity, and data/phone) which are all located within 150ft of the site. The contractor/vendor will also furnish and install a Kohler KG45 propane fueled genset (propane tank provided by customer).

WORK REQUIREMENTS

Technical Requirements: Assembly plans will be provided prior to unit arrival.

Prior to bidding, the vendor is encouraged to visit the site, verify all utility connection points, take any necessary measurements for material calculations, and direct any questions to the Contracting Officer. Any questions, responses, or supplemental guidance not funneled through the Contracting Officer will not be legally binding on the contract award.

Specific Tasks:

Provide the customer with a turn-key modular laboratory.

Provide all additional materials necessary for completing the installation of modular laboratory. Provide all labor to complete the installation of the modular laboratory.

Performance Measures: Criteria for acceptance of product or service - Work will be considered complete after modular laboratory is fully functional and has been inspected by the cognizant science staff and the facilities manager.

Work may be performed between the hours of 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Work may begin after Notice to Proceed

SUPPORTING INFORMATION

Place of Performance: Patuxent Research Refuge 12100 Beech Forest Rd Laurel, MD 20708

Period of Performance: Estimated completion date of 90 days after Notice to Proceed and 30 days after delivery of modular units. Utility work may begin after Notice to Proceed but modular units may be delayed.

Government Furnished Resources: PWRC facilities personnel will provide escorts and any on- site technical support required by vendor.
