About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (Attachment A) from the Department of Finance for the City and County of Denver, seeking to procure aggregated and anonymized consumer credit and debit card spending data. The department requires a cloud-based solution with the ability to drill down to Denver City/County granular level, to be accessed no later than June 1, 2025. The required deliverables include aggregated purchase data, online cloud-based access, technical training and support, various analyses (trends, heat maps, retention), and a data feed with row-level data that includes raw and transformed data tables with merchant and product attributes.
The data will be used by the City's Chief Economist and Economic and Data Team to track the city's sales and use tax base and inform future revenue projections. The preferred data delivery method is access to a backend database or API, with daily data frequency being ideal, though weekly is acceptable. The data channels of interest include online, in-store, and store card transactions. The primary objective is to obtain timely, granular consumer spending data that can support economic research and analysis specific to the Denver metropolitan area.
