About this file
This Request for Information from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the United States Geological Survey seeks industry feedback on a proposed Landsat Next mission concept. The Landsat Next concept would collect superspectral land observations with higher 10-20-30 meter spatial resolution and additional spectral bands beyond Landsat 8 and 9 capabilities. It aims to provide improved data for applications like agriculture, ecology, urban monitoring, water resources and more. Responses to the RFI will help inform requirements for the Landsat Next system planned for operations beginning in the late 2020s. The mission concept looks to continue the 48-year Landsat program's free and open data policies to support natural resource management and global change research.
